Hi we booked through Airline network (singapore airlines were not much more direct) cheapest at the time, Glasgow to Brisbane via singapore tho we didn't do a stopover.

Cheers

Airline network. Emirates fly this way. Glasgow-Dubai-Singapore (for refulling but may be able to stop over depending on ticket) then onto Brisbane.

Cheers

Another site worth checking out for flights would be www.ebookers.co.uk and also try Trailfinders.

I personally prefer Hong Kong to Singapore. Its a lot bigger, there is more to do and shopping is better. That said, fewer airlines fly via HKG so the deals may not be as good.

Hi Gormac

We booked our flights through Travelbag, connection flight is Heathrow then straight to Singapore. Called a few companies but Travelbag ended up being the cheapest! When are you hoping to head out?

Hi Gormac,

I flew Glasgow to Brisbane twice last year (once on my own to validate my visa, then a few months later with the family). I flew with Emirates on the visa validation trip, and they were great. Booked online, flew Glasgow-Dubai-Singapore-Brisbane. They put me up in a hotel while I was in Dubai between flights (around 8 hours) so I could get a shower and a bit of sleep. Also, their in-flight entertainment was excellent (between Glasgow and Dubai anyway). Downside was Dubai airport, which was very busy.

On the flight out with the family, we flew Singapore Airlines, via Heathrow and Singapore. I'm not a fan of Heathrow, but it went smoothly enough. We stopped over in Singapore for 5 nights, and really enjoyed it. Again, we booked direct with the airline.

Best of luck!
Dave
