Girls Night Out in Melbourne....anyone interested?

Girls Night Out in Melbourne....anyone interested?
Well after a bit of consulting with some of the local expats, the general consensus is that we are all gagging for a girle night out on the town, away from the kids and the other halfs
So I thought that we could perhaps meet up a bit earlier in town, say 4pmish and enjoy a few drinks somewhere, then find a nice pub/restaurant and enjoy some food, a few more drinks and of course the fine people.
This also means that we can get home using public transport, if necessary, at a decent time (not too many drunks etc on the train).
Well I hear you all ask enthusiastically, when, when, when???
So a suggestion would be either the last saturday of the school holidays (17th April) as I'm sure that we'll have all had enough of kids by then, or else the 1st May, which will have given us all time to get the kids back to school and have some kind of normalacy return.
For anyone who wants to attend both, that could also be arranged
Okay, so any takers out there?

hope all is ok on the home front now your hubby is over in oz...well that night out sounds fantastic but i cant make it for the 17th april its my birthday that day and my crazy cousin may have made plans for that day, but i will defo make the 1st may.
Let me know wots happenin and i will make arrangements...

Am there till 22 May (then move over for good in Sept). I would love to meet up for a girly night (or any social activity, really)- but it would need to be either between, say, 5-21 May or after Mid Sept .

Snitzy, bears are allowed to come along as long as they've got female bits
Anyone got any ideas of places to eat? Even though I know how to get around the town, have no idea if there's anywhere good to eat, or any good places to go (other than the casino of course!!)

They've even got electronic roulette now where you bet on a touch screen.I love going to the casino so am more than happy to accommodate any active participants.

Thought I'd bring this back to the top.
So after some personal discussion, it looks like the 1st May is going to be the best date for everyone to do this.
How about we all meet up at Flinders Street Station at about 4pm? We can wander along to the Crown Casino for a bit of a flutter, and then walk up to the town where I've been advised of a few good pubs locally.
How does that sound ladies?
