I am just about to book my flights on Singapore airlines and I have cold feet. Am I doing the right thing? My OH has been in Oz since March. ( he'd get a shock if I didn't pitch up ).

My rels are already in Oz. My daughter is in tears at leaving her friends.
I am jobless, homeless, husbandless and tonight I'm gonna get legless.
Someone tell me everything is gonna be fine please!!!

All normal I think! I get cold feet moments when I am tired or actually get some thinking time. Then I swing to being hot, hot, hot! I am assuming it is becuase we actually quite like it here, live in a beautiful area and will be out of our comfort zone very soon. Also being responsible parents....eeek!

You'll be fine, worst case scenario you can pack up and come home, and that probably isn't going to happen because it's the worst case! You'll always regret the things you don't do more than the things you do, get out there and have a good old knees up with your buddies and think of all the fantastic experiences you have ahead of you that you wouldn't otherwise have had.

Believe me, it's the biggest storm that's ever taken place in my teacup.

I was cacking it before leaving for Australia and now we've been here 11 weeks, I can honestly say that it's only the physical demands of moving that pissed me off. Emotionally, I am probably more stable here than I was in the UK.

I love Brisbane (but not exclusively). Some things niggle me here but to be honest they are far fewer in number than when we were living in the UK.

Every morning, on the way to work, I ride through the Gabba and I get the most amazing view of the Brisbane skyline against a clear blue sky as a backdrop and each morning I think "Wow!....I actually live here!!"...

Do it I say....It can be a lot easier than you think...

I'd say it sounds pretty normal for some - while it doesn't affect others.
Just take a couple of paracetamol today for that head of yours and go book the tickets. It'll be sunny and warm when you arrive - now that's got to be a bonus!
