Hang on in there Dreamaway. Blumin' house buying / selling process doesn't get better eh...?
Can understand you holding everything off until sale goes through.

Check out www.expedia.co.uk for flights on a daily basis. We got one way bargains with them flying with Singapore.

Ps My Dad recently sent me the News of the World with the article on Britain's worst crime ridden street - in good old Lenton!!!! Just think, that'll soon all be a thing of the past.

Have everthing crossed for you

Good job I did not book any flights etc.Had a phone call from the estate agent yesterday to tell us that from our buyers electrical report they advise that our house needs re-wiring.Our buyers are still very interested and are going to consult their solicitor on Monday. :scared:
Cannot believe it we are so far down the line as well
It could go two ways they will probably want to knock off 3o4 grand off the already reduced price or they will pull out.
There is nothing we can do until Mon when we speak to our solicitor.
We do have another couple who we know is still interested in buying our house and are in a position to proceed.
Just hope it all sorts its self out.No way will we be completing by the 19th May now .Looks like we are stuck in no mans land for longer.
Will this nightmare ever end.Iam never going through this again.
Sorry to sound like a right old whinger but this is just too much.

Really sorry to read this, selling the house is more stressful then the visa part.
We were due to exchange two weeks ago, still nothing. Our buyers are coming round today to spend an hour measuring up. The house is no longer a show house. We have a skip on the drive, the contents of loft in the box room. Suitcases we have bought in every room, and on it goes. Really hope you can sort something out.
Best of luck
Sharon

Apparently there is a problem with the electrics on the house our buyers are selling and they have needed to get the work done so a certficate can be issued, this is being done this week.
The longer this goes on the more I panic, we have booked flights for 15th August, and were planning on moving to mil, so the longer in our own home the better, but I won't relax until we have exchanged.
You don't have a lot of control do you when selling your house?
Anyway we have to stay positive, and I need to tackle my boys bedrooms!! :scared:
