1 - if they had always wanted to move to Tuscany, why hadn't they even attempted to learn any Italian and
2- what was the the point of going all the way out there without any savings at all?
We felt a little more research should have been done by the family before going there

Also watched tonights programme and last weeks - seems to me that the presenters who are supposed to help the couples are an absolute disgrace. Both times they have failed to obtain working permits and left the poor souls running out of money by the time the month has ended! Are they migration agents in disguise?

I thought the male presenter was about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike - Was that you PB ?

Hi we also watched last week and tonights programme, the relocaters!!! are doing themselves no favours. My sixteen year old daughter would do a better job i'm sure. What exactly have they done apart from buy plane tickets and rent property for one month.

Hi,
Didn't watch last weeks, I think the presenters are hamming it up, probably after some exposure!
But, I too can't believe how little research they did in advance about qualifications, the locality etc.
Do people really launch themselves into new lifes so unprepared...
Obviously savings would help take the pressure off, but not last forever.
Also how awful he had a bad stroke within 3 days of returning, made me think you have to live for now don't you?
Poor things, I hope they sorted it all out.
Mash...

My thoughts exactly. I cannot beleive that last week they allowed the couple to go and no one had even bothered to get work visas for them .This had to have created a huge strain on their realationship, surely they had enough to deal with and the visas would have made a big difference.
The one on Oz must be different I would have thought they would have had to have their visas sorted before they left. The couple who did this programm may be able to tell me different.
