Default future occupation on MODL list

Hi all,

I am just about to send in my ACS/RPL forms and I have just found out that my firm are going to send me on 4 courses that will provide me with a qualification (as long as I pass the exams) for a job that is on the MODL list.

I want to send in my RPL now, I am hopeful of this passing but the work I currently do is not on the MODL list, so after passing (fingers crossed) the RPL assesment and I then pass the relevant exams for the MODL job can this then be added to my application and my application then be fast tracked?

One possible problem with waiting until I get the new qualification before sending in the RPL is that if assessed on the new qualification I will fail as I have no experience in it.
Also it will probably take 2-3 months to get the qualification.

Obviously I could just apply on my current situation and then when I eventually get to OZ hopefully my new qualification will still be in demand and it may help me get a job fairly quickly. I am purely hoping for the advantage of being fast tracked and getting to the sun quicker!!

Cheers,

Dazza

1) ACS assesses MODL nominations based on work experience, not on qualifications alone (i.e. you have to have worked in that MODL occupation for at least 12 months)

2) No ICT occupation is fasttracked any more, not even if your ICT occupation is on the MODL.
