Slight off subject in that its not a company name, but just read in one of those gossip/news columns!! that Wayne Rooney (plays football - funny looking bloke) is in trouble with the Jockey Club over the names of his two racehorses.
He wants to call them Hoof Hearted and Norfolk Enchants, but racing chiefs say he can't because they sound rude when said at speed by racing commentators.
Sorry but this tickled my funny bone!!

Hey, on the subject of crisp packets, who remembers shrinking them in the oven and wearing them as badges with a safety pin in the back - blimey, still remember when crisps were 7p a pack.
Ooh, were they called shrinky-dinks?

A fairly large firm of quantity surveyors/construction consultants here in the UK:-
POOLE DICK ASSOCIATES
I don't suppose it mattered whether Mr Dick or Mr Poole had their name before the other when the company was set up.
Couldn't find company web site, but link mentioning them noted below for the disbelievers!

Can't proove this one with out scanning the phone book (I'm at work, anyway) but I spotted this in the Marda Loop area of Calgary the other day:
"Assman's Barber & Hairstyling Salon"
Checked the phone book and there were two other people named Assman in there as well.
Now that's an unfortunate name to have to take to school (when these people were younger).
