I think there was another one posted. I remember looking at it and it showed hardly anything for our area and what it did show (our house) was wrong. So I never used it. Could be better for your area though. Just do a search and you'd probably find it.

thanks, I managed to find one called oldlistings.com.au but the house I am looking at only has the current listing on it, so who ever is selling it must have owed it for a long time...... so I am a bit bummed after that, but thanks anyway guys.... they have reduced it, as been on a while, so I'll keep watching and thinking I might just have to stop being stingy and buy one

There are no free sites for actual house prices sold in WA. It differs in other states though.
If I want actual sold prices then I use RPData. It costs $9.90 for a 12 month history of one suburb, they email you the list immediately after you've paid by credit card.
I used to use a SMS service that cost around $6 per enquiry but the data they had was old and you couldn't get really recent sales.

I'd seriously re think about buying in Perth right now. New housing minister for WA wants to flood land in WA and get prices down.

Hi Pomtastic
Thanks I will check that out, If that is the case then I will hang on longer and onto this house here too as an investment. I am looking in Mandurah as I hate living in Perth I am feeling v depressed since moving here about 3 and half years ago - so my hubby doesnt have to change jobs again I made a compromise that we would move to Mandurah and I would try there for a couple of years. I see you are living in Dullsville too? My God - we might get shot now for saying that I am not allowed to say that I dont like Perth as I upset a lot of people who love here and love it, but Its just not for me....

I suppose Perth depends on what you are used to. If you have come from a quiet UK village then perhaps it would suit or if you're looking for the quiet retirement lifestyle. The people here who are generally unhappy are those who have travelled alot and those who have lived/worked in dynamic places with a pulse and a heartbeat - something Perth lacks in buckets.
Hope you find what you are looking for in Mandurah.

Why do people assume that because they love something, everyone else will too? If that were the case everyone in the world would live and work in one place.
