WOW, Jim McGinty, now you're getting seriously tough and taking away the cappuccino machine from Bandyup Prison.

Does that mean you won't go ahead with your plan to build a five-star luxury prison for women where they can have their boyfriends stay overnight? Will the prisoners in Acacia Prison still have a TV set in each cell?

Now all of a sudden you come out and say that you're concerned about the "appropriate use of taxpayers' money" and will therefore force prisoners to drink instant coffee instead of cappuccino. Give us a break.

Does all this "tough talk" mean we can now have some realistic sentences being dealt out to criminals instead of seeing the crime rate rise out of control but the prison rate falling?

Labor tough on crime? Who do you think you're kidding? Not the voters. We won't forget that you've allowed homosexuals to adopt children and taxpayer-funded IVF treatment for same-sex couples.
