ok so we’re looking at moving to Australia and have read some lovely info on here but it’s quite a few years old.
We are foster Carers in the UK sand have been for 7 years. We are looking to move to Australia but want to know the following-
— what is the enrolment like
- what is the call for foster carers
- Any advice on anything relating to moving and fostering.
- location. Currently we are flexible but are thinking about close to Sydney or Brisbane or Melbourne.

I can tell you that organisations and agencies cannot get enough foster carers - I work with the department of child safety and associated agencies - contact these people and they will answer your questions about becoming a foster carer - this is an org in queensland but I'm sure the same principles apply interstate

Agree with Joey, complete shortage of foster carers.
