Form 283 permanent resident
Hi All,
I need to obtain a form 283 certificate of permanent residence from DIMIA so that I can do some security guard work.
I have only been a resident in Australia since 09/10/04, however my wife is an australian citizen and we own our own property(mortgaged).
Am I eligible although normally you have to wait two years, it says that there are some exceptions and one is being married to a citizen.
Can anyone clarify the position for me?
