Foreign Currency term deposits
With the Aud being so high at present, I just wondered how many people were doing this. ?
Heres a local bank that is set up to handle exactly these type of accounts. Besides the obvious pitfuls are the interest rates indicitive of what a full Aussie resident should expect ?

their charges need to be looked at carefully . other banks have them too but hsbc seemed best of what i could find that allowed any amount deposit/removal frequently etc without too harsh charges.
