Nice to see so many Cheltenham people here!
I'm just dipping my toes into the waters, I still have just under a year to go till I qualify as a midwife. Fingers crossed after that I may get onto a QLD Graduate programme and a new life for me and my family.
I look forward to your updates, good luck with your exciting journey!

Poor old Cheltenham/Gloucestershire - there seem to be quite a few of us upping sticks from here!

With regards to our flight on the 4th we have just found out the second leg of the jouney (Hong Kong to Brisbane) has been cancelled! Really annoying, and now instead of a 6 hour wait between flights it's turned into 17 hours!
All the best with yours. x

"There are some people who go who have never been to Aus so have no idea what it's like, they have no family and no friends there, now that is what i call brave!"
That's us !
My husband's new Australian company interviewed him in the UK so we've never set foot there.
Although we have been expats in SE Asia and Europe so we're used to the upheaval.
I'm in awe of people who've lived in the UK all their lives and choose to up sticks to the other side of the world. I'm more scared of this move than I was of the one to Taiwan !

I got a job by networking with people in my industry. Meeting up in UK and Australia and keeping in touch via email to see what opportunities were available. It took a year in total to get the visa and job offer.
