Default Flights prices

Any suggestions on the best deals for flights? I hear stories of families of three getting return flights for £1800. I can only find prices around £3k - although I am looking for July next year. I guess it's the old school holidays syndrome. Unless anyone knows different................

If you can go by way of the US try Hawaii Airlines.
