Flights Booked 15 november from manchester
Booked our flights today. Leave on the 15th november at 10am with singapore airlines from Manchester

Great news! wish it was us!
We're hoping to go feb/march next year once the house sells. If you don't mind me asking - who did you book your flights with and how much were they? The quotes I've been getting are £1900 for 2 adults & 2 kids, with stop-overs in dubai and singapore - I was just wondering if this is the norm.

We paid £1850 for 2 adults and 2 kids from manchester to Brisbane via singapore. Then we had to add on 3 nights in singapore in Fab hotel (why not you only get to go once and sponsor picking up bill) and a return fare for hubbys mum who is flying with us, total cost £3500. Think its high as MIL fare is £960 return as she is going over peak periods. Flying with Singapore airlines.

Thanks for that, we'd like to stop over for a couple of days too so it breaks up the time difference.
We're just waiting for our police checks to come back then we'll have everything in and hopefully get the visa and sell the house.
Where in Brisbane are you going?

We were not suppose to be going till end of nov but WE GOT OUR VISA on monday and cant bare waiting so going 2 weeks earlier then planned. Just got to fit everything into 4 weeks and 6 days (not that we are conting)

We've got friends in North Lakes, so we're looking there or the surrounding suburbs, but we'll have a look when we get there as we're not having a reccie -we're just going for it!

Not even thought about it! Just need to get the house up for sale then I can think about booking the flights first 
I just want to get it sold then I can plan the rest - I've told OH that he needs to get the house ready to sell cos I've done all the paperwork to get us there!
