Flights

Hi Guys,

Ok, I'm probably gonna book my flight this week and am hoping to get the double baggage allowance, now I have my visa

From my searches on here, I see Singapore airlines give double allowance if you haven't validated your visa (which I havent).

Are there any other companies that offer this? and from your experience are any good? As I don't fancy going Qantas at the mo for some reason

Only airlines that generally do it now are Singapore and Emirates. You'll need a PR visa, unvalidated, and a one-way ticket.

Or you could fly via the US and get 46kg regardless of the type of visa.

remember though...you dont get the extra baggage allowance on a 457 visa...

its only if you have a permanent visa.

I don't think so. I looked into it and because the 475 doesn't have 'permitted to stay indefinately' in the wording then they won't alow it.:thumbdown::thumbdown:

Let us know if you find an airline who will accept it. Otherwise it might be via the USA for all of us.

We have just booked one way to Bris for nov 3rd - Expedia and travelbag seemed to be the best prices.£3700 - 2 adults and 2 children. We are stopping for one week in Langkawi 4 * hotel and 3 nights Kuala Lumpur - 5* hotel. This price inc internal flights and hotels, private taxis etc.

My flights for mid March are coming back at £630 for Singapore, £2,300 for business.

Does it make it any cheaper flying from LHR? And getting a seperate flight from Teeside?
