Fish Tank?

Fish Tank?
Bit early for me to worry too much about what to take etc, but my Mrs asked me at the weekend if I was taking the fish tank to Aus. My immediate reaction was no, but as long as it was clean, can anyone thing of a reason why it shouldn't go?

It might be more trouble than its worth taking it - I think they sell quite well.
We gave ours plus the fish in it to friends today - I never thought I would be sad about leaving a couple of fish but we've managed to keep this pair alive several years and they have become part of the family!

Re: Fish Tank?
Ours came with us no problem. 260 litre bow front tank. Only one of the shipping companies said they'd crate it (Doree Bonner) and this is who we went with.
Ran about 15% bleach through it for 24 hours, then a good rinse. No problems. Only item that was taken by AQIS was some fish food (unopened).

Thanks for the advice/opinions. Sounds like it is possible, but questionable as to whether it's worth it.
I'm not particularly emotionally attached to the tank, but I have a huge pleco that I will be sorry to part with....

We were talking about it at lunch time and I think we may well leave it. To be honest, I think we will already have enough to do without having to worry about setting the tank up again
