first aid certificate
hi
I am a childminder, does anyone know whether i would have to do another first aid course once i move to Oz or will my English one for 'working with children' be ok.

You can register with the local council and they offer courses and get you linked up with other childminders so you can do things together.

UK first aid will suffice when you arrive.
In Victoria, you have to do first aid every 3 years (2 days), CPR training annually, and anawhatsit training (evening, tonight actually) for peanuts every year.
On the first aid you get taught how to use the portable defibs - 'stand clear, shocking', bang!! Apparently they have them everywhere here.
Wife is NNEB who is recognised as a qualified childcare worker here, hence, my knowledge.
