After 12 months plus of trying to sell the house we finally found a buyer who didn't mess us around and landed in Sydney on 13th December. The flight was nearly 2 hours late but I don't care we're here at last
.
We spent the first day just relaxing and enjoying the scenery along with a bit of Aussie wine & beer then yesterday confused the bank changing between accounts, picked up the hire car and bought a new car. Today is sort out driving licence so can get the new car tomorrow (Honda CR-V, never driven a 4x4 before) then off to Cronulla this evening for a wander along the beach (hopefully there won't be any trouble tonight). Soon we'll have to find a place in Balmain to rent as we're staying with friends at present but so far it has been great.
Looking forward to catching up with some of the expat sydneysiders in the first new year meet when hopefully we will be a bit more organised.

Welcome to Sydney and I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we're having. Be prepared for a very busy first month sorting all and sundry out (we've been here 2 month now) but don't worry things relax and then you can enjoy everything.
