I I have been busy, busy, busy sorting stuff out as PSS come in just over 2 weeks to pack all our belongings up.
They have sent us the name of the ship the crate will go on and the date of its arrival as well, which seems funny and makes it all seem real.
We have a local charity coming around tomorrow to collect lots of our unwanted furniture and the house is feeling so empty and is echoing all around us. The house is feeling very odd now, almost soulless. It is a bit like living in limbo land, waiting to go but not yet leaving.
Anyone else feeling like this??

Its a very weird feeling isn't it Tina, I remember it well. People kept asking how I felt and I couldn't explain it at all, it just is like a sort of limbo - you feel like theres still something you should be doing, but there really isn't. The worst bit is that waiting feeling - so near, yet not there yet.
Hang in there - you're almost on the plane now!!

Everything has come round so fast (don't you think)!
Good luck with everything.
Will hopefully see you soon.

Hi Tina,
we are certainly in limbo and we've still got 6 weeks to go!! Feel like we should be doing something but can't do much really. Dave has started to clean his tools (oo-er) with the wire wool and wd40 and we have already junked the stuff we won't be taking. Just have to sit tight I suppose.

I know EXACTLY how you're feeling. Our stuff was also taken 2 weeks before we left the house, and now we're living in a tiny rented flat (from a 4 bed detached with no neighbours).
Still, just 6 weeks to go, and only the cars to sell at the last minute. I'm sure it will all be worth it when we get to the other side. At the very least, I'll have my dishwasher back!

Know how you feel, as the movers will be here next Tuesday. Gave away all the pot plants, sofa etc. on the weekend, sold the car today, and suddenly the place seems so different, like I am marking time waiting to go.

Hi tinaj,
I know I felt funny when I looked around & realised that everything I have will have to go.
It makes me wonder where it all comes from
Hope it goes well, remember to keep a kettle anfd tea stuff to hand for the next couple of weeks.
Bye

hi tina
yes, i know the feeling. lucky i live in a shared flat at the moment, therefore only my room is empty, apart from the bed, which my flatmate 'inherits'. all the other stuff is at the parents' and sister's place until ??? i work till friday and fly off next tuesday with 40 kilos... and probably about 20 kilos of handluggage (if they let me).
good luck for your move (of you and family, obviously the things are on the way already
)

hi tina,
it seems ages ago that we were in the waiting stage!
i did everything on auto pilot really. knowing that i was coming but not really believing it myself almost. i left the house and never gave it a thought about the enormity of it all, probably cos i was thinking about soooooooooo many other things too.
its only now really (been here almost 10 weeks..cant believe it!) that the reality is setting in.im beginning to miss people and friends .
thinking about xmas is soo strange too but we are having some friends round and have plans now so i can look forward to it more now.
im not moaning at all, it is really beautiful here and have no wish to go back at all but i know that it will take time to adjust to not having friends (we have made some new friendships but it will take a while to feel that they are the kind that you can pop around to see when your fed up or had a row with hubby!!!)and family around just when you need them. ....
i think that what im trying to say is what people said to me...try to enjoy your last weeks/ months there with your family etc...
good luck with your move tina...
our movers..crown relocations were absolutely brill...cant fault them at all!..hope yours are as good too

Thanks for all of the comments and support.
The Charity came around today and took a lot of our stuff away, it is getting really empty now! We even have the lamps on the floor as we donated the tables they were on. I am looking forward to starting again over there and buying new furniture, that is the fun part
It is funny but the closer it gets, the less worried and nervous I am am, a few weeks ago I was a wreck and now I feel quite sorted
