Hi Guys
I have only 15 weeks before I arrive in Perth which in the grand scheme of things is not along time.
My emotions are all over the place at the moment one minute on a high the next on a down I am guessing these feelings are only natural.
Also, my partners and my work ethic have gone through the window i.e. we cannot be bothered or motivated to do anything is this natural and did anybody else feel like this in the lead up to going?
Any advice on coping with the nerves would be helpful lol
Many thanks
Debbie

Totally natural, doesn't seem to be any point in making an effort because you won't be around in a few months time. However, lots can happen between now and the move so try and work as though you will be going on holiday and want things right and uptodate.
As for the nerves, just roll with it, oh and bear in mind it's unlikely to stop just because you get on a plane.

Yes, I know the feeling, except the work part that is the only thing keeping me sane and my biggest worry about moving. Feel down a lot of the time when I'm in the house, probably cos of organizing for the move, OH is hopeless! Have a good life here, well did until we sold everything but no longer have family here, all in oz, hence the move. Am I doing the right thing, that is the million dollar question. I'm hoping i'll look back in a few years knowing it was the best move I made. Thanks for your post I needed to vent.

I had worked with the same colleagues for 15 years, and got on great with all of them, and I still loved my job, but I just lost more & more enthusiasm the closer the big day came.
I spent hours at work sneaking onto the expat sites, and real estate sites etc etc.
I personally didnt have any stress or nerves about the move itself, because I felt quietly confident in myself that all would go well, and I had already lived abroad for many years prior.
Its all very natural to feel like you do.

yeah its all natural, I quit my IT job 2 months before leaving as it was very demanding and I was in no mood to pay anymore attention to it, chill out its natural, anxiety will be there until you reach your new country and get settled with your basics. Wish you best of luck.
