My hubby Steve says if you mix 1/2 pint of bitter & 1/2 pint of mad dog 20/20 orange flavour it tastes just like SPANGLES! (Except very very alcofrolic & gets you very very drunk)

Also loved Highland Toffee, Rainbow Sherbet (bought with a 1p lolly to dip into it), jelly dummies, giant cola bottles, Rhubarb & Custard, Aniseed Balls....

Floral gums and cherry lips.

And sweet (coconut) tobacco - not the done thing these days but I loved it!

Yes, they are still very popular but they had to change the name some time ago.

It's now Candy Sticks.

Sorry guys, wandered off course temporarily from the NZ forum, but what about Pink Panther bars of chocolate...pink in colour and strawberry flavoured ...my absolute faves as a nipper...

I used to spend my Brownie subs on a bar every week and never had my subs left when I got to Brownies...needless to say I got kicked out of Brownies...this is a true story btw

The only thing stopping him from talking is sleep. Oh, hold on, he talks about some big cats in his sleep too and does a good impression of a big cat snore.

I bet no one remembers aztec bars, a bit like a big really fluffy milky way. From about 1968, if you collected three wrappers you got one free. No-one seems to remember them but me! They seemed to dissapear off the market pretty quick.

Also apple stroodles, in a packet shaped like an apple?

I have never met anyone who remembers the aztec bar though, can anyone tell me I'm not mad?
