Have just had to decide which CDs I can take, and which have to go in a box for several months...not an easy job, but means I can answer this!
Pink Floyd - esp The Wall
Dire Straits - Love over Gold
Yes - & solo stuff by Jon Anderson
Bryan Adams
Queen
Midnight Oil

and a sneaking love for the Bay City Rollers, even after all these years!

No its not just you! todays music is crap you've only got to watch POP IDOL to see that, the ones with half decent voices are overweight and not what the media wants, sex sells unfortunately, great that it wasn't that way when Barry White, Alison Moyet, Meatloaf and the like started out!
and im 37 by the way!

Oh my god to list them all, not possible !!

But a few faves, well number one is George i grew up with Wham and have loved him ever since !! No comments please

Most cheesy stuff from eighties but they will mostly be singles for example `Wah- Story of the Blues, Boxerbeat, so many to name but most can be found on the `School Disco` Cd`s.

Also Bryan Adams, Robbie Williams, Bon Jovi, Run DMC,Queen,Genesis, Mike & the Mechanics, god so many i can`t list them all, but i prefer the older stuff but hey did buy the new cd by `The Darkness` and it is growing on me.

can't agree more Rach.

I am 32 and can't see what kids like about eminem, 50 cents, britney etc etc.

These people can't sing and they sure as hell can't play an instrument.. whatever happened to real bands??
Yes sex does sell, pop idol... that's a laugh....I can't believe that crap.

Do you think it's rigged?? LOL I wanna see a show with all the losers....far more entertaining I think..LOL

Nothing wrong with George Michael...god I remember when careless whisper came out... swoon...... I look back now and laugh at the make up he's wearing and the flick in his hair... gota love the 80's!!

As for the Darkness, one of the more interesting bands to come out lately.. lots of alternative stuff doing well.. didn't mind the evanescene track.

No, its strange but my musical taste tends to draw me to the older music channels or the radio, but my 13 yr old thinks i have gone mad he thinks they are a seventie throwback. So my aim this weekend is to watch one of their vids.
