Even if this is the case, a default setting to 95 degrees is wrong surely! What on earth would you need to wash on 95 degrees? If the little one was older I would think it could have happened accidentally. Mine used to love pushing the buttons on the washer when they were little.

Do the jeans still fit?

I would be down to the store quick smart (after I had read the book to make sure it wasn't a default thing)

Hope you get it sorted.

I wash my dishcloths at 95 :o

Hi Bridie, Sorry I can't help you in one respect but if the machine is only a month old then you should at least get someone to look at it and get a free repair.

Hope you get this sorted ASAP.

Kind regards Lou xx

I am definitely not going mad - there is something wrong with the machine!

Just put it on a 40 degree which takes 50 minutes. DD going for a sleep and this new machine keeps her awake (old one never did!) so I paused it with 10 minutes remaining. After I pressed the button it's reset itself to 50 minutes! :curse:

Still, at least I hadnt rung to cancel the bloke coming.... and at least I know I'm not losing my marbles?!

Good news that you are not losing your marbles - not so good it keeps your daughter awake!

i think it must spin at a slightly higher pitch than our old one... she would sleep right through that, even when teh bearings went and it was incredibly loud!!! this one, not a chance!!

yes, i'm happy about the marble situation!

Washing powder manufacturers are even recommending washing at 30c now to save on heating costs and the environment.

Detergents are getting very cerfisticated these days!

I don't use any washing powder so kind of helps environment a bit. If I had a microwave I would try that but I am not buying one just to sanitise dishclothes :D

Re: Faulty Washing Machine Q

How long had you paused it for? If the water had gone cool whilst paused the machine would reset/extend the wash time. All part of the 'fuzzy logic' programmes incorporated in to a lot of L.G, Samsung machines. What make is it ? Does it have 'fuzz logic' programmes?

p.s I am a whitegoods engineer.

Re: Faulty Washing Machine Q

Whirlpool are normally a prety good machine. That model does have Whirlpool's version of 'fuzzy logic' called 'sixth sense'. Modern front loading machines do take a long time to complete a cycle ( 1 - 2 hours depending on cycle). If there is a fault with the machine it will be the module/pcb.
