Not ALL Australians are brain-dead, sack-wearing, beer-swilling, over-weight zombies. ALL the ones you may have met may be, but that does not extrapolate to the WHOLE of the Australian community.

Keep it specific and related to your experiences.

For the record I agree with your impressions of Australia, it is far from Utopia, and the UK has a lot to offer. Perth (and a host of other regional areas) is as isolated from mainstream Australia as you can get.

Let them newbies know it all but don't slag off ALL Australians from your narrow and limited view of this country.

But nice to see that somebody who apparently lives in Oz and is not too impressed with the place a lot of the time, has a differentiated view. I don't mind people posting if they're not over the moon, it's just the tone towards and the attacks on people who don't agree with them I find so off-putting

Look Pal I speak as I find and having some Aussie friends who I rate far above most Poms its hard to understand the anti-pom feeling that some here give off.
