Failing the medical
What do you have to have wrong with you to fail your medical?
My hubby has had skin cancer and serious back problems in the past - is this likely to fail him? He is fine now.

This may vary with different types.
The only thing that may fail you seems to be active TB or HIV.
Or any condition which may prove expensive in the long run.
If you fail to declare anything important and it comes to light later your visa may be withdrawn.
Best to be honest
and Not worry.
Good luck

Hope the 3 year rule mentioned above is true (fingers crossed).
If you have been discharged from seeing your Oncologist this is presumably a good sign also???

Oncologists are physicians who study, diagnose, and treat cancerous tumors. They practice in hospitals and medical centers, university hospitals, and research organizations.

The key (I think) is that Oncologists treat cancer by non surgical methods such as radiotherapy or chemotherapy etc.
Consultants are the people who operate on cancerous tumours.
Case solved.

By George I think he's got it!!
That sounds very plausible as hubby just had his skin cancer cut out and he saw a consultant.

Sorry to disappoint you but you can still have a Consultant Oncologist!
A Consultant is the name for a senior doctor (above a registrar or house officer) and the speciality is Oncology or Radiology or whatever. Then you get others that specialise in both and you open a minefield ........
More confused now?
