EXPATS BABYSITTING CIRCLE
As a mum of 4 children myself (including teenagers) I thought I would start this thread so maybe we all could help one another out. As you know you come all this way out here and some of us havent even been here before let alone know anybody here. Then when you start to make friends you cant go out as you dont have a babysitter and if you asked your new found friends then you wouldnt have anyone to go out with...a vicious circle.
How about anyone with willing teenagers that would babysit post on here the area they live/would be prepared to travel to. Not just teenagers but maybe willing mums/dads that would swap instead of payment as a night out can be expensive when you have to pay a sitter too. Just a thought......we could then start a babysitting circle of trusted members and make new friends too.... |

Re: EXPATS BABYSITTING CIRCLE
We could use a babysitter too!
My husband and I are hoping to play on the same hockey team next year, unfortunately we'd need a babysitter to do it. It would also be nice to be able to get out even once a month without the kids. I don't have any teenagers on offer, but I would gladly pay someone else's! Or would possibly swap babysitting with someone if it works for both of us. |
Re: EXPATS BABYSITTING CIRCLE
We've just broken free of having to have babysitters for 100 pct of the time.
Guess how long its been, since we couldn't go out without Babysitters.... Since 1983 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about a new found freedom. Youngest now 10 and the other one still at home 14... our older two have moved out. |
Re: EXPATS BABYSITTING CIRCLE
Anyone else for a spot of babysitting?

My daughter babysits for people. She works full time now but still enjoys babysitting duties. She has a blue card as she teaches certificate III multimedia at a private college in Brisbane.

I would and my eldest would - she's 15 but no one moves down here so I think we can safely say our evenings are our own.:D

Hey Sarah! Sorry didn't realise you were short of a sitter, my eldest does babysitting. She has looked after Ginny's if you wanted a reference. She does also work P/T so she is not free all the time but if your stuck I can ask her if she's available.
