yep, most Christmas dec's are snowmen, or other winter related things. Santa in thongs and boardshorts has made it to Xmas cards but that's as far as it goes!

Bring your good decorations and sentimental one's, but just buy all the tinsel and other crap here in November.

Around Brisbane there's something of a competition for the best light show at crimbo. There are some real good efforts too not sure if they're still there but www.ourbrisbane.com usually shows them off at the time.

I've got a Santa on a surf board
If your stuff is decent Ast, then bring it and you can add to it over here (if you feel the need)
It appears to be all or nothing here, they either don't bother at all or light up the whole front of the house
It's all good though and although it's not the same because it's hot - it's still Christmas
