we started watching it in March & it's done nothing but fall since then. I remember reading on here about someone changing at 2.38 & thought that was low......I'd love for it to be 2.38.....I bet it climbs the day after I decide to do it ;(((

Thank you rlucky stars you have money to exchange.

One word of advise "Be Careful"

The move can easily start to eat into your hard earned cash if you aint careful, everybody wants a piece, you will be like fresh meat over there, all niave, new and pale white.

The estate agents and general sales staff will spot you from a mile away......

As for the first few months you are gonna be spending, spend spend.

General perception from some economic news yesterday is that Aus interest rates will go up AGAIN next meeting of the RBA. Hence this makes the Aus dollar more attractive and its likely to keep strengthing. Of course UK interest rates could go up again too, but I wouldnt be surprised to see the rate move into the $2.20s soon.

If you're going to wait for $2.50+ i think you could have a very long wait.

I could be wrong but if you look at the full 12 month charts then the dollar seems to fall off in around October and Feb so if you can wait it might just go up.

It might.....but I saw some other forecasts from 6 months ago which said the rate would be $2.46 now.....I know the forex traders are the experts but there are so many variables that the forecasts can't really be relied upon.

Change of government in October could have the potential to knock the AUD down a bit though I would imagine.

Hasn't anyone read 'The Secret'? The power of positive thinking-if we all collectively visualise $3 to the £ it should happen!! Worth a try!
