Default Employee sponsorship

As well as considering starting or buying a buisness I have also been approached by a company for whom I used to be an associate. They are a specialist consultancy with only about 100 people worldwide who are trained in their processes. They have just opened an office in Sydney and their Oz rep has e-mailed me to find out if I would be interested in going out there to work with her in building the business. I presumed that if I want to do this I could go out there on the equivalent of a UK work permit for say 3/4 years.

My question is - I am 52 years old and the immigration site appears to suggest that the 45 age cut off also applies to this kind of visa - anybody know the answer please?

Tks
