Hi Sue,
it seems a bit more real now, we are in rented, which has been a nightmare.
It feels like we are one of the last ones with a similar time-line to be still here.
We are going to Perth, nor sure exactly where yet.
We booked our tickets with travelocity and haven't pre-arranged baggage allowance, do you still have the number for Emirates?

So is everything a good as you hoped ?

Sorry I've looked for the number and can't find it, ask travelocity they'll give it to you and have a chat with them regards you allowance. We got our tickets updated as I thought that when we booked our 'one way ticket' telling them we was migrating that they would automatically sort out the extra allowance, I was told by E.bookers that it would all depends on who was on check in as to whether they would let us go through with the extra weight....I didn't want to take that chance so I arranged it with Emirates and the tickets where sent back and changed. Are you doing a stop over?

Everything going well, found the first few weeks a bit hard as like you we didn't know exactly where to settle..we wanted Gold Coast but didn't know what area. But now we're feeling really settled and love the area we're in....just take your time when looking and go back to the area at different times if poss. The final few weeks in the UK are hard and I found once over here the first few weeks not as bad as I thought it would be :)

Email emirates direct and keep return email re upped bagage allowance as can use it at airport for proof you were given higher. In email tell emirates your ticket no. flight date/time etc..

I wish they told me that, I asked if there was any other way...rather than sending back the tickets and they said no :rolleyes: I suppose it all depends on who you speak to.

Anyway, Kevin I'm sure you'll get it sorted :)
