Question Emergency Services Sponsorship??

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone out there is a member of the emergency services and has gained employment in Oz through Employer Sponsorship Migration? I am Coastguard Seach and Rescue Officer trying to relocate to the AMSA Coordination Centre in Canberra, but would consider a different Emergency Authority as Coastguard doesn't appear on the 'Skilled Migrant' list. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Don't know about coastguards only firefighters. No chance. They only recruit a few dozen "whole time" a year and everyone has to go through all basic training. Hubby has been a firefighter for 20 years and would have to compete with all the youngsters with no experience. I think ( :scared: ) the police are more able to transfer over but still not easy. Paramedics again, forget it. Friend has been trying to get there for ages. Speaks to ambulance personnel when on holiday who are keen to employ her, but no chance of points.

Sorry

Get some professional advice as if the job is in an RSMS eligible area, it only needs diploma level qualifications - there is no 'skill list' for RSMS.

Also be aware that the 'skill list' for mainstream employer nominated PR visas is wider than that for general skilled migration.

All this is academic unless you find an Australian employer keen to hire you and sponsor.

Employer nominated migration is not points tested.
