HI,
Just wondering what the likelyhood of all of our uk spec' electricals working is?
We know the voltage and frequency is the same and that the plugs will need changing, but what about DVD compatibility and Cable/Sky use with the TV. We also heard that our fridge-freezer may have trouble coping with th heat out there. Oh and we also heard that getting bulbs for lamps can be hard?
many thanks.

Seriously though, The Light Bulbs/ Globes are all the same fitting options as the UK ones.

purchased in Oz, however most models have an in-built "hack", a code you get from the internet to enable the player to become multi-region.
Look for your model on this website:
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/m...n/hackable.asp
It's just a simple code you will enter into your remote, then you'll be able to play discs from all over the world.

Some tv's may not work out here but they are so cheap here it's hardly worth bringing one. Don't forget you will need an enormous fridge and freezer as in the summer most things have to be in it!! (Including your body when the air con breaks down!!!!!) Other than that all works just the same.
