Dubia Flight Transfer- 2 hours
Heading for a holiday/reccie trip in september. Anyone done the 2 hour flight transfer at Dubia, just wondering if it is enough time for luggage etc. to swapped from plane to plane.

If you are in transit you shouldn't see your luggage until you get to your final destination, you also won't clear customs so it will be more than enough time to do some shopping!

Although in DXB, even as transit passenger, you have to clear security going into the airport and for the connecting flight. Its no drama but does eat into the shopping time.

Thanks guys just worried about baggage handlers being able to transfer luggage, went through heathrow once and lost luggage for 5 days they blamed "not enough time between transfers" saying you should have at least 4 hours. Won't be telling OH about shopping!!!

We flew Sydney to Glasgow with Emirates in March stopping at Dubai. Our flight from Sydney was delayed because of a thunderstorm and we only had 1/2 hour to get off plane at Dubai, run through the terminal and onto the plane from Glasgow but we made it and so did our luggage so i'm sure you'll be ok

Re: Dubia Flight Transfer- 2 hours
Last October we flew from Newcastle to Dubai, then over to Perth with Emirates. The transfer time was about 1 hour 20 mins in Dubai.
When we got to Perth we ended up with 2 out of 5 cases. They said that the transfer time was OK, but due to the new terminal being built in Dubai and the plane parking a long way from the terminal, some of our cases hadn't made it and they'd be over on the next flight.
We gave then our rental house details and the next morning our 3 cases were couriered to our house.
Couldn't argue with any of it. Emirates are first class, best airline I've flown with and I've flown with a quite a few.

Just done it twice in the last 2 weeks ... aaahhhh...(jet lag)
But luggage made it.
My wife had even less - about 45 minutes and her's made it too. Though the captain did announce that they were holding the plane for a few minutes to wait for the last bags.
Just avoid Heathrow and Paris CGD and you will be fine!
