Default Driving Demerits

I live in NSW and have only been here 3 months on a kiwi license at present, so haven't yet got a NSW license. Unfortunatey I was unaware of the 'school zone' rules regarding it only being 40 kph at certain times. I got 3 fixed penalty notices on 3 consecutive days at the same camera add this to a speeding infringement i have effectively lost a license I don't yet even own.

Can you lose your license if you haven't yet got a NSW one? TIA.

You wouldn't lose your license due to those demerits but you would be on a good behaviour license if you actually had a aussie license. google good behaviour license.

Best advice would be to pay the fines up whilst declaring you don't have an aussie license then hopefully you should beable to apply for your aussie license. thats the way i understand it anyhows.

Full/Unrestricted licence holders who receives a Notice of Suspension following the accummulation of 12 or more points, can apply for a 12 month good behaviour period instead of serving the suspension.

If a further 2 or more demerit points are accummulated during this good behaviour period, they will be suspended for double the original suspension time.

And yes, a non licence holder can be suspended from driving, and an overseas licence holder can lose their driving priviledges.
