Hi,

Just putting a post on here wondering if anyone fancies meeting up for a beer this friday in Melbourne CBD?

Moved over here one month ago with my girlfriend ( we spent a week in Sydney first), now working in the CBD on La Trobe Street and wondered if anyone nearby fancies meeting up to share info/stories and simply to have a beer.....or three (more because it's only 1/4 pint 'pots' here!

I work at 1 Spring St (the SAI building) and live on Flinders Lane. Send me a PM if you'd like a drink. I'm in Newcastle this friday and don't land until about 9pm so this friday is out, but can make other days.

In Melbourne and Victoria a pot is 10oz which is half a pint. A quarter pint is called a pony. Schooners are 3/4 of a pint and a pint is a pint (which is useful). A glass, which is 7oz, is for women

I don;t think we can do drinks this Friday, but certainly interested in meeting up. My fiance and I moved over to Melbourne last April, you'll love living here. How long are you here for? Or is it a permanent move?

We've been in Melbourne a while, but not yet had much opportunity to meet any other fellow Brits. Would certainly be interested in getting involved in any meet ups.
