Say no more.

There always dreamers , I am surprised anyone would want to leave the land of plenty. Those who stop are used to a second rate country.

hi pb
just a thought but i would suggest that the reason that people born in oz leave, is because they can. most of these people have very strong links with other countries, i.e auntys uncles grandperants even brothers and sisters in some cases.
but they also realise they can return when they wish. as you may have seen on this forum there are a lot of spouse visas issued.
part of my reasons for going to oz are to be closer to my family, i have my father ,mother and brother out there.
so my case is the reverse, im leaving uk because i can, and if i need to return for what ever reason i can do that also.
all the best shaun

Most leave Australia because its a small country and need to find better employment and see the world , you are also right some miss family and old friends. If your family are here its got to be better here for you I know now that nothing counts more than family.
spouse visas are getting harder to get too many Chinese etc are pulling a fast one.Good luck to you.:D

one of the main reasons I think I will probably leave is because on the money front, if I ever did want to go back to the UK, the longer I stay in Aus the further away I get from being able to move back to the UK.. I would have to start from scratch ie. Aus dollars don't stretch too far in the UK....I think it would be great to live 6 months here and 6 months there....
