new virus out for all you windows puppies.Its called sasser.You dont have to do anything just visit a web page thats infected

I heard on BBC that it had crippled the UK coastguards!!

...they said on the news this morning it apparently slows down your machine or causes it to crash. I think i've been infected with it since i installed dos 3.3 many moons ago.

From what I have read it doesn't affect Windows 98 though.

Windows 98 doesn't need a virus to make it reboot oops crash on its own.

Westpac had to go manual for a day because of this virus. There are rumours that cityrails collapse on Sunday was also caused by Sasser.

it doesnt affect any 9x systems BUT they can pass it on it seems

Apparently HAVING the virus on a win 9x system is a bonus, as it gives you a reason as to why you get booted more often than a nappy at a baby farm !
