February is the worst month, it will start to get better in the next week or so (actually I think it has gotten better in the last few days already, especially evenings).

Winter itself is quite dry in Brisbane, although that is generally only from about mid to late May til end of August.

I'm on the Sunshine Coast and dont really think it's that bad, maybe the sea breezes help.

Maybe you should consider moving to another state.

Hang in there!!!

Late Autumn and Winter are beautiful with very little humidity.

3 months of pain is worth paying for the other 9 months

For me... I notice a big difference at the end of march, beginning of april. Brisbane is mild to modertately uncomfortable due to heat and humidity for about 6 months of the year. The other 6 months are like a British summer with cooler nights and cooler mornings. Good job you didn't move further north!

I used to spend a lot of time in Singapore.... Brisbane isn't anywhere near as bad as many places... yet everybody moans so much!

Thanks everyone for the advice, Very much appreciated, Just got to make a couple of friends and if they can take me stinking, I should be all the way. If only it were that easy, I have actually got used to talking to myself and being on my own, Which i hate. But im sure it will all come together.

Thanks again
Suzanne

It's almost never that humid here - and I speak as the original pig (as in "sweating like ...")

But don't move here until you've had a shower, please! <g>
