I presume you've tried Cathay Pacific. They do flights from HKG to Perth.

The choice will probably boil down to Qantas and Cathay Pacific. I'd be surprised if these two don't offer Perth-HK flights.
Otherwise fly HK to Singapore or KL and to Perth from there.

they do but like many other internet flight sites ,they want from a to b and no provision for saying via hk with stop-over.
It seems quite frustrating...looks like i'll have to go to a travel agent.
I've found some that do multi stop-overs,the 'travel the world' ones but don't need that.AAArrgg...need a drink!

Qantas definitely fly HKG-PER with their shiny new Airbus 330's, I'm at work tonight so will try and find out flight numbers for you.
The airlines don't like booking stopovers, far too much like hard work lol, I'd suggest giving Flight Centre direct a ring, they sorted me a stopover in the States when I emigrated (LHR-Chicago-Denver- 2 day stop - LAX-SYD) and beat the competition by several hundred pounds. Phone number should be in your yellow pages or off their UK website.

I see the Cathay flight from HK flying in to Perth most mornings on my way to work and can tell just by looking at the plane that it is shiny and new.

I'm pretty sure where you go in to search for a flight there is a multi stop option where you can put it in leg by leg, so you'll be able to select Lon to HK then onto Perth.

Cathay Pacific has an on-line special at the moment, from London to most cities in Australia via Hong Kong. I did a sample run, and got GBP437 (or GBP608 including taxes and everything), for a return trip in April 2006, LHR-HKG-PER-HKG-LHR with a stopover in Hong Kong for 4 days on the way out. I know you're looking at one-way ticket but the on-line specials are for return trips. You've got to book on or before Oct 31 though. So be quick.
For some reason, if I select one-way tickets online, the prices are GBP1000 or GBP2900!
What I normally do is find out the prices online and go to a travel ageny. They can almost always match or beat the on-line prices. If the one-way tickets do turn out to be more expensive, you can always get a roundtrip ticket and just not use the return part. Some tickets are valid for a year anyway so you can always pay a little extra to change the return dates in case you need to go back to the UK for a family visit or something?
Good luck,
Mrs JTL

I don't think Cathay Pacific offers migration baggage allowance like some other airlines do anyway.
