As with everything, you will get what you pay for.
My advice is to determine which brand of tyre you want and then shop around and in particular check if the supplier offers any discounts for being a member of a Union or a Motoring Organisation.
I have just fitted out our Subaru Outback with 4 Pierellis @ a total cost of $566.

I dont know if they are still doing it but Beaurepairs used to offer a road hazard insurance thing on tyres bought though them. If you bought a tyre through them, and it needed to be replaced, you only paid for the wear on the tyre.
I borked a tyre 6 months after buying it, and only had to pay $6 for a replacement
