Does Australia have Rhoderdendrons?
Hi Guys,
this may be another silly question, but I have a growing passion for Rhoderdendrons, and I was wondering if they have them in Australia?
Any one know?
Many thanks
Chris

I'm not exactly sure what my ancestors got up to in their spare time, but I reckon it would have involved mowing lawns, sipping tea, munching cucumber sandwiches and swearing at Don Bradman.

They originated in China and were introduced to the UK relatively recently.
They have now become a pest and are destroying large areas af the Snowdonia national park, the Lake district and elsewhere :scared:
There are large scale eradication programmes in operation in several areas

They have to be pulled up by the roots otherwise they will spread again.
That is why they are so difficult to get rid of.
