Do You Need Skills Assessment As Secondary Applicant In order To Get A job?
Whichever route we take to get into Australia we will be going on my skills as a nurse / midwife (hopefully on a sponsored visa).
My OH is a joiner / carpenter. If he went through the painful and expensive process of VETASSESS to have his city & Guilds qualifications recognised will that improve his chances of getting a job or is it an unnecessary expense?

He doesn't need to do a Vetassess, but when he arrives it's possible he may need to get a license here to work. Check with your intended state what the requirements are for carpenters.
