we brought our tv with us, a Toshiba widescreen approx 4 yrs old, and guess what... it didnt work, pictures but no sound, but we managed to solve the problem by buying one of those digital boxes (i think the equivilant in the uk is freeview ??) and now it works perfect. Unfortunatley our DVD player does not play any of the dvds we hire at the local video shop as they are all region 4 and ours plays apparently every other region except for that one
i think i'll just wait until Target has a sale on and hopefully pick a new one up for around $80 (hopefully!!)
