Default Divorcing your Australian partner.

Have searched on here for info but couldnt find any. Please merg this if there is another post already started.

After living in oz many years i now live in asia. I have tried to get my ex to do a joint online divorce application but she just keeps dragging her feet. I will probably return to the uk in a couple of years and wondered if it would be easier for me to do it from there. Any advice appreciated.

You certainly can do itfrom the UK once you are resident there. Only difference is that I think in the UK you still have to provide reasons etc, in Australia its a 'no fault' divorce.

Ok polly, I just dont want to be giving a solicitor any money as it's straightforward with no real disputes.
