crikey! hardly worth while is it. we are in similar boat but think its best to have them do all thE packing at the start. was the saving much for self pack. did they quote you for both options?

AQIS don't open all self-packed boxes. They open the ones with an inventory that suggests items which may need inspection, and they may open some at random. I shipped 42, all self packed, and I think 4 or 5 had been opened.
