that must be relief!!

we are lightyears away from d day yet - but christ justing thinking about going in 5 days is making my stomach churn!!!!

Hmm, got to agree. I like performance cars (just got rid of a tuned 225BHP Leon Cupra), but this is a Golf you're talking about. I'm sure there are performance hatchbacks available in Oz.

Hope I don't sound rude here, but it's good to keep some perspective.

To bring a more worthwhile feel back to this thread - what opportunities are there for fast motors in Oz? The impression I get is that a high performance motor would go to waste - what with tight speed limits, roaming Kangeroos, etc!

Any advice or thoughts anyone?

Seat have pulled out of oz now. You will find when you drive a holden or ford (both are pretty good) that they are large and heavy. Sure you can buy an Audi S3 but at $40K for a secondhand one but they are not cheap.

You either like euro cars or your not fussed. I've driven quite a few australian cars and like the wifes magna, it does it's job very well. Euro cars cost so much here it makes sense to bring something like a V6 Golf if you have the chance imo.
