Re: Desirable areas in Adelaide - the 'burbs!
Hi there
We are currently renting in Marryatville (eastern suburbs), a pocket between Kensington Road and Portrush Road. We specifically searched the areas because of the school. Our children went to Marryatville Primary and Secondary, - they I think very good state schools. As previous posts say, these eastern suburbs - Norwood, Glenside, St Georges, Glen Osmond, Toorak Gardens, Dulwich, Rose Park, Hazelwood Park, Wattle park, erindale, Leaborook, Kensington Gardens, Kensington, Beulah Park, Trinity Gardens, St Morris - are expensive. I think house on sale will start from around 600 thousand.
But for renting, still reasonable. We are lucky to get a 2/3 bed house for 340 a week, only 3 minutes from the school in a quiet cul de sac. Among big houses, there are a lot of units scattered around in the area.
In this eastern suburbs, there are three very good state schools Marryatville, Glenunga, and Norwood Morialta, and plenty of private schools among others Loreto College, Pembroke, St Peters, St Ignatius.
regards
