Default a day in the life

I need a sense of drama. Push my comfort zone to the edge. Today I had my first drink in 65 days –I was going for 100 but the ennui, squash injury, annoying kids, huffy wife and—final straw—broken window—pushed a weak willed person over. Thank ****.
I toiled on the drive out—Sunday night 7.30 –only 2 hours till bed. You can do two hours surely? You’re on day 65 –you’ve told all the boys at work 100 days – the apprentice marvelled at your stoicism.
The drive out (for drink) a decision made because of many minor setbacks. Where is the spunky emigration, **** em all attitude when you need it.
1st setback – due to stoppage of drink hence lack of social mixing because of social leper feelings – out of comfort zone. Did well until bout of utter boredom—no football (the real football), no blether down the high street, no village pub –no sense of community. Things I (I stress I) could do without. Being a no family shit, joined the forces I could go anywhere type of guy.
Anyway these seeds had been sown but 100 days---easy peasy. Boys at work 100 days.
Day 65 – woke up with an attitude 11st 13lbs--- 1 lb off my 3 year record – this will need to be a devoted excercising week. Up at 4 am normally a good sleeper.U tube till daughter and son breakfast (never mind he Buzzcocks).
Fed and watered satis--- it’s raining and the heated reverse cycle --cost me a bomb-- is on.
Huffy wife (for what reason I am mystified) wasn’t even pissed – am I a mind reader?
Beat her to ‘I’ll go for the paper’ just to get out of he atmosphere. It has a superannuation thing I might be interested in. Turns out it’s bollox.
Read the paper – not the UK Sunday Times—car accidents.
Moped, went to squash pulled muscle—never got my tenner back, came home demanding sympathy---- never got it.
So went out—arguing with myself all the way--- should I would I?
Came in the house with the box of wine and a domestic unfolded in front of my very eyes—my darling wife had ‘let slip’ a crockery item which had smashed the window.
You are always swimming against the current her cobber. Always--- current. Remember.
I thought **** it I’m earning the dosh in this house and if I want a sub way I bloody well will have it.
Went out, didn’t wanna do it. I have. 65 days down the pan.
Going for 100 next time darlingsxx.
