Played cricket in it all day..... actually didnt think it was that hot

We cannot change the weather so what is the point in moaning about it.

Just make the best of it - wherever you live.

If you get a really hot day like 40c degrees atleast it cools down to 20c degrees at late evening and night, afer being indoors on a hot day you can go for a walk, bike ride or do outdoors stuff at night, say between 6 pm and midnight. If its cold and wet you are stuck indoors all the time.

Anyone else feel this way
right, it's Sunday, 8am and it's already 30 degrees, guess we might hit the 40 mark today. Stay cool inside. We are in a 7 day cycle, every weekend it gets hot. I remember my first summer of 1997/1998 in Perth, the hottest year in OZ, I thought I wouldn't survive. We had no aircon then. The next year wasn't much different, El Nino is back again.

Our aircon was serviced last week as it was leaking water, the guy fixed it and serviced it.

Well after 3 hours of use yesterday it was leaking again - does anyone know what can cause that?

40 degrees - oh well, we have our fans to keep us cool

Is it leaking water or is it evaporative, in which case it drains.

Im not sure Dorothy, I know its leadking water on the bottom right hand side, not alot but when its been on for a bit.

Ill call the air con guy on Monday, I might need to adjust the temperature on the remote or something.

We are off round to a friends today for a BBQ, they have a swimming pool so it will be good to cool off.

We have a huge garden big enough for a pool, wish we could afford to have one put in. Bet you are enjoying your pool in this heat.

Yeah, loving the pool. We were in last weekend and it was so warm. Nothing better than a late night dip just before bed. It's my job to vacuum it, but I don't mind. I do it on Saturday mornings first thing then we keep the cover on so it keeps the dirt out for the most part. Once we have the grass down and the rest of the pavers it will be so much easier to keep it clean.

So, your aircon...Hope you get it sorted. Ours seems to be not blowing in our main living area but too cold/blowing too hard in the kids' activity area. They made the activity room the constant even though I told them to make the main lounge constant, so I'm going to make them change it. In winter it's 30 in the activity room but 15 in the rest of the house. Now it's 20 in the activity room and 35 in the rest of the place. My poor dogs are trying to keep cool.

some of the air cons do drip, I have had one like that before, its nothing to worry about, I would have thought the aircon guy could tell you if this is the case
